Rising Stars is a Brighton Open Mic Night hosted by West Pier Recordings and Beluga Promotions in association with Artista, one of Brighton’s top venues for Music and Comedy with seating for approx. 100 people. This event is designed to celebrate the most promising musical talent from Brighton, Sussex and beyond, whether you’re already established and have been gaining momentum or have been exploring the idea of a career in music, this is your chance to get noticed and network (networking will excel your career). Most styles of music will be considered as long as it is of a high standard.
With a focus on fun, creativity, and opportunity, Our Brighton Open Mic provides a welcoming platform for emerging artists, singers, singer-songwriters, and bands to connect, grow, and thrive. Whether you want to build confidence, test new material in a controlled setting, entertain an audience, or explore industry connections and get friendly support.

The first few events will be completely FREE to attend! Expect an evening of exceptional live music, featuring 3-4 emerging artists handpicked for their awesome talent, plus a special guest performer delivering a 45-minute headline set. The whole show will last approximately 2 hours with breaks.
Our special guest artists are already making waves on the scene and bring real quality to the stage - so whether you’re discovering fresh talent or just out for a brilliant night of live music, your entertainment is guaranteed. This is no ordinary open mic night; it's a showcase of pure talent. Come and enjoy the music, support future stars, and be part of something special from the very beginning.

Please note that this is a curated Brighton Open Mic Night, and we will only be selecting the best suited talent.
We also want to hear from Artist managers and producers.
If you are not chosen, please don’t be discouraged - we appreciate all applications.
If you’re new to the scene and looking for opportunities, we’d be happy to recommend other great venues in Brighton to help you get established if you have not already sussed that out.
If you want to apply to perform at our Brighton Open Mic Night, you will need to register at least 2 weeks in advance, the earlier the better.

Bring yourselves, your kit, everything you would normally need to set up. You can then connect to the venue sound system.
Bands with larger set ups will arrive by 7pm.

Accessibility
The bar is located on the ground floor, while the music venue is situated in the basement.
Please note that access to the basement is via stairs, and there is no lift available. There is seating on both floors.
